Saturday MM @ 1600 cfs

Leif and I met up with a guy named Kirk that I paddled with about a year ago on Saturday.  He has since had the same shoulder surgery and rehab as I from the same surgeon and Physical Therapist.  I recommended my surgeon, Dr. Watt, when we paddled together a year ago and I'm glad to hear he took my advice and that he has fully recovered.  One difference is that he had an orthoscopic procedure instead of open, which is what I had.

Anyways, we had plans to run the Middle Middle quickly and head up to Fall in the Wall (FITW) where a few others were doing laps.  I had never actually run an easy and familiar river with my creek boat and I'm glad I did.  I felt really comfortable and ready to tackle some more difficult rapids again.  I took the absolute hardest lines I could except for one hole that I watched Jeff get stuck in on Thursday.  I know I could have punched through it but opted out.  There is a pretty burly hole at the end of the rapid before House Rocks that I had never punched through and with my creeker it was no problem at all.  It's good to get the weebie jeebies out the system.

When we got off the river it was already 2:00pm and we all things to take care of later in the day.  Too bad.  I'm looking to run the Sky or Sultan Tuesday and FITW Thursday after work.  Should be fun.
