On my way to the White Salmon River this weekend my cell phone lost its
signal when were were nearing Mt. Adams. I turned it off to save
the battery and what!? it turned back on. Then it turned itself
off. this continued for a while until I pulled the battery
out. Putting the battery back in only continued this. After
the weekend I tried it again and the same thing. What gives!
So on Monday I went down to the Cingular store in Pacific Place Mall
downtown. They guy listened to what was wrong, looked at it and
asked when I bought it. I got the phone sometime in March or
April which is over 30 days by a long shot. He didn't ask any
other questions and said okay, we'll send you a new one. It had
to be approved by the manager later that day and he said I should
recieve it via Fed Ex on Wednesday.
Well, today is Wednesday and I have a brand new phone. I put the
old one in the box, taped it up with the provided tape, slapped on the
new mailing label and done!
I am extrememly impressed with how Cingular handled this and I am a happy customer. I think that this is worth sharing.
